Who wants a Pixelnet to 5 DMX output converter board??
« on: November 07, 2013, 11:55:26 PM »
I have 10 boards available.  I have finished the Alpha version and it is working. Right now it is able to output the first five DMX universes of a Pixelnet Universe. I can easily make it output any DMX universes you want but it will be a different firmware. This should be good to test the board. Within weeks or sometime soon after Christmas I will finish the Falcon Control Software (same software that sets up Falcon 16) to be able to program the converter to any start address (1 -4096) for each output. But I do not want to wait to get this in the hands of the testers and I also think hard coding universes will get us through Christmas.

The boards with processor will be $25.00 + shipping and the BOM is about $23.00.

You also need a 5V 1A switched power supply. You most likely have one laying around the house.

If the majority prefer i build them I will offer them built for $63.00 + shipping. I would rather build them to make sure they start getting used as soon as possible. When you add the shipping it will cost for you to source your own parts it is not much more.

Now on to SSCv4 code for a while.

Users that want one.

This is great!  The pace of innovation is most impressive. Please count me in for one - built. Thanks,
Terry

You are correct - I'd test it sooner if I didn't have to order parts and solder.

I'm in for a pre-built when it can ship.

(Because I have a bunch of RS485 chips that I ordered for Falcon 16 boards but am using jumpers instead, you could leave those off. I'll leave that up to you, David)

Count me in. I can build this. I probably have most of the components.

Pm me with the amount for the board and shipping

Thank you

The first 10 will go out within next week and they will be built.

Jon the chips used are not the chips used for active Pixelnet on Falcon16.

Looks like there might be one left.  I volunteer to test it out.  Good timing, I just sold some other stuff and there is money in my account.
