To control your lights from a Pi running Falcon Player you will need the Pi, usb thumbdrive, micro SD card and also a usb dongle.
Instructions on installing FPP are at http://falconchristmas.com/forum/index.php/topic,483.0.html
You can call me AAH, you can call me Al, or you can call me Alan.

Total noob here.   Sorry for my ignorance in advance!!

I have completed the above steps, and have everything wired now with a 5V power supply and two 5v pixel strands.  I also have the jumpers on my pi cap for LOR.  When I boot everything up, I end up with an FPP login: command prop.  I continue to look online for step-by-step instructions on how to get the leds to light now and I will keep looking.   But I am posting here to see if someone can help guide me through the next steps to light the pixels from LOR.

Thank you in advance.

Jay

That sounds like you are logging in via a keyboard and monitor attached to the Pi.  You need (I think) to access the web configuration page in a browser either by http://fpp or via the IP that is announced on the audio output or possibly appears on the monitor if you have 1 connected. You need to configure channels, IP and to put it in Bridge mode if you're going to control it from LOR. After you've done those steps you need to configure the outputs which is very similar to my rPi-28D and there's screenshots of the setup for 2811 and DMX (which is what you'll need for LOR) at http://www.hansonelectronics.com.au/product/rpi-28d/

Thank you.   I have made progress!   I followed your steps and am using FPP via wifi and can get the pixels to light in the Display testing.

I'll follow your next steps - "After you've done those steps you need to configure the outputs which is very similar to my rPi-28D and there's screenshots of the setup for 2811 and DMX (which is what you'll need for LOR) at http://www.hansonelectronics.com.au/product/rpi-28d/  "

And work towards being able to control the lights from LOR Lightorama.

Thank you and updates to come!
