Newbie starting from scratch...
« on: December 05, 2016, 02:37:27 PM »
I'm trying to see what one needs to do to get started.  See what I have listed, and correct what I got wrong, or missed.

Scenario, I have SSC v4's from DLA currently with DLA firmware. nodes are the typical 1804 regular strings.

1.) use a PicKit and flash the latest firmware form here.
2.) make sure all program jumpers are removed.
3.) Plug in each ssc into a hub, and setup with the Configuration Utility from here using the program all checkmark in the program
4.) Set it up, and if i need to make changes, I can now do that with the configuration utility (with the program all checkmark UNCHECKED)

5.) Sit back and watch blinky blinky   8)

Looks right to me.

I wonder if my post count and you joining Falcon are coincidence? (where's the old evil emoticon?!)

Also, is the zeus supported? If so, what do I do?

Yep, zeus is supported.  Reflash properly and use the utility.  Blinky.  http://falconchristmas.com/forum/index.php/topic,793.0.html  Firmware (NOT IN WIKI???) http://falconchristmas.com/forum/index.php?action=downloads;cat=17
