Micro SDHC card

Has anyone had a micro card overheat and crash in there Raspberry PI.

That is not common.  I would take a look at the PS and make sure that it is supplying the correct voltage and if so, I would try a fresh install on a new SD card and see what happens.  It could be a defective PI.

My PI worked all christmas with no problems, when I put the falcon PI cap on it and pluged only the USB power to the PI it wouldnt boot up and the micro card got hot.

It sounds like something may be wrong with the cap.

I would take a good look for solder bridges on the Pi cap. Sounds like something is shorting out.

Did you remove the jumper on Picap since you are powering pi fron usb

Oops, no I didnt, put the power usb to PI was the only wire connected to either unit. Hum
