Settings for Hifiberry not working (channel count ?)
« on: April 18, 2017, 10:37:39 AM »
Hello all,

I am having trouble trying to set up the Hifiberry to work with FPP. Everything else seems alright.

I have used the script and double checked the configuration. aplay -l returns the device, asound.conf is set right, and a speaker-test works when trying...
... only the thing is that I have to specify the channel count (-c 2) to make it work, otherwise it will return that 1 is an invalid channel count.

I have tried to change asound.conf to add the channel number parameter, but it doesn't change anything... I have explored the forum and google but couldn't find a solution for this.
Upon booting there is a message error saying :
Failed to set number of channels to 1. Invalid argument.

I don't know how to override this argument though ...

Thank you for your time.
Pablo
