Web Request Options
« on: September 06, 2017, 04:25:47 PM »
Just wondering if anyone knows if there is a way to either send or receive web requests from a PI with FPP running?

My goal is to either send a request to a service via HTTP when a playlist starts or receive an HTTP request that triggers the starting and stopping of a playlist.

Thanks for the suggestions!

You can create a plugin that has a callback on every event that you can evaluate. There is information on the Wiki . Click the Wiki link for more information.

Not with the current 1.X version of FPP, unless you create a plugin like Ben has mentioned, but in v2.0 this functionality is built into the core and while I haven't built a method to do this in the interface itself yet, it is planned.

Is there any documentation for creating a plugin? I tried to find it on the Wiki but could only find a list of plugins.

Under the FPP section, FPP Page, it lists the developer resources: http://www.falconchristmas.com/wiki/FPP:Plugins
