Can't connect to Falcon PI Player
« on: September 12, 2017, 10:13:44 PM »
I'm new to Falcon PI Player and having an issue.  I set up my Falcon Player and have been able to connect via my web browser with no issues but now after a couple of weeks, I can't connect.  I can ping it and get a reply just fine but now when I try to connect via my web browser, it won't connect and says connection refused.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.....

The choice of web browser has been known to affect accessibility of FPP. There may have been a browser update in the meantime that is affecting being able to access it. Try going through the different browsers to see if you can get in. Chrome, Firefox, IE.

I just power off and reboot as my first step.  The second step is to reboot the computer.

Usually, if I can ping but not web access, it means that Apache has crashed. You can power cycle to try that. If concerned about corrupting with a power cycle, you should be able to SSH in and issue a reboot command.

sudo shutdown -r now

Thanks for the suggestions!

I have tried Chrome and IE as well as restarting both the PC and Raspberry PI with the same results.  I'm suspecting an Apache crash but will investigate further.  Assuming it is Apache, is it difficult to reload the operating system and such?

Takes less time than you've spent already. :)
