Does anyone see a problem with this?
« on: October 07, 2017, 01:00:33 AM »
I'm trying to hang a bunch of 12" snowflakes from the roofline. I had them in a pvc frame but it was visible at night with the lights on so I came up with this.I'll be using metal conduit and shorter screws and tilting the snowflakes a little. Strong enough? Thoughts?

Steve

If you feel okay with the strength of that the only problem I would see is rust forming on the steel parts and leaving stains on the white Coro.
If it was me I would turn the hardware around so the blind nut is on the back of the pipe, and use a stainless steel washer and screw and probably paint them white so they blend in.

Paint your PVC black if you are getting reflections from the supports.  I played around with some 12" snowflakes and mounting but then put it away last season.  I was using the center hole for mounting.  Here are some photos.
