F16 V3 with differential Expansion and reciever problem/question
« on: November 18, 2017, 06:47:48 PM »
I cannot get my differential receiver to show the 4 ports (17-20) in the web interface.

If it is not supposed to show up there, how do I access them? I am hoping is it something simple I am missing here. I have the 17-32 port jumper selected and also powered by ribbon. The receiver has a seperate power supply.

I have tried a couple of ethernet cables and same result.

Any help would be appreciated,
Paul

You need to change the "port mode" dropdown to something appropriate for your config.

Thanks for the reply.

It only shows One expansion or two, and when I do one expansion, it puts in 32 ports total.

Do I just use that and some how blank out the other ports I am not using?

Don't worry about the 32.   If you only had 10 ports needed and were using the controller only would you worry about the 6 you were not using.  Same difference.  What you are doing is activating the firmware to be able to control and manage an additional 32 even if you are not using them.

Super, I did that, and it seems to be working. I can output from Xlights now and all seems to be set correctly.

You add the one expansion... so the 32 shows.

I have the same setup (V3 with diff expansion) and do this and it works flawlessly.
