Does anyone use RGB Amplifiers
« on: December 06, 2017, 05:39:30 AM »
Hi all,

I am looking to add Smart RGB all around the frame of my house for next year.  I currently have on Falcon F16v2 and two-three 12v power supplies (some are extra - not in use).  I understand that I would need to power inject along the way, and somewhere I read that I would also need to amplify the RGB signal to get to the "other side" of the house.  So, any intel and/or learned lessons on this topic would be great.

I use a few Amps in my display. You can learn more about them at this thread

Terminology can be a great help or confusing.

Around here, an "RGB Amplifier" is usually called a "microAmp" and abbreviated as uAmp. Several vendors make them but a member here, Corey, was one of the first and his are very small and very reliable. The only problem with Corey's uAmp is that he always runs out of them. :(
