.20 Help
« on: March 26, 2014, 02:00:25 PM »
First time trying to get it setup and not sure what I'm doing wrong.  I've now tried 3 times with the same results.  Pi is on the network/has an ip.  I can ping the ip but I can't get the web pages to show and I also can't ssh into it.  Won't take the username/password - pi/rasberry, but ssh does respond just can't login.

I use sdformatter doing a full format(overwrite) with format size adjustment on.  Copy the files extracted from the zip to the sd card.  Format the usb drive using fat 32 named MEDIA.  Put it all in the pi and let it sit ~20 mins or so.  I see at the beginning the activity light going nuts and then the usb drive being used also.  I have rebooted a couple times after the initial 20 mins but no luck.

Any tips.  Only things in the pi are the sd card/usb drive/ethernet cable/power cable.

Hmm seems to be related to the SD card.  Tried another one and it works now.  Odd since I was using the SD card for RasPlex.

Still can't ssh with pi/rasberry.  I wanted to setup my wifi adapter so the pi will only talk to my etherdongle.

Plugging in some speaker or headphone while bootup will get you some audio info.  Remember after a initial load on the sd card, you will need to reboot twice if i remember.
