3M window film works great for covering P10 panels
« on: January 07, 2018, 11:16:05 AM »

Hey guys, I haven't seen this discussed yet and thought I would share

while covering my house windows in this clear film I thought hey, this may work great for waterproofing the P10 matrix. I grabbed a sheet and tried it and it looks and works awesome, here are some pics, hope this helps in anyones future projects.

If anyone has tried this please let me know how its holding up

Yep was thinking the same thing, have it out in the shop from a few years ago, just never put out my panels yet, maybe next year.

Some folks have successfully used a clear shower curtain.  That might be a little cheaper.

was thinking about the clear curtain but I like this idea a little better being its a little stretchy and you can hair dryer out the wrinkles. its all trial and error for me right now

The fronts are basically waterproof already so anything that promotes water to flow off should be fine.  I will be curious to see if it yellows.

supposedly the "outdoor" version of it holds up really well, I guess only time will tell

Once I finish building one I will be leaving it outside for a while to see how it handles it all
