New Falcon Hardware in 2018
« on: February 11, 2018, 07:17:05 AM »
I was surprised to see the release of the F48. Is there a place in this forum I should follow regarding upcoming hardware releases?  Also, are there any plans for additional Falcon hardware before the 2018 holiday season?

I don't think there is a place.  The F48 was not a secret since it was on display last year at the expo and some people used them last year as testers.  There is the F-amp that will come out in the next month that is replacing the uamp.

Ok. Thanks. Im moving this year and thinking the F48 will work better than the F16 Im using now. Just want to make sure there isnt something else coming out soon that might be a better option.

The F48 was used by Boscoyo Studios in their drive-thru display. I did not have one for the Expo. The F-Amp will not replace the uAmp but will be in a different form factor (sealed in a square type pixel casing).

David, I have been looking and might have missed were you posted the specs for the F-Amp. I presume that the lead in and out are 18 ga from the looks of it. But what is the pass through current rating of this little amp? Including the foil traces.
Thanks
