GS8208 LED is a new DC12V ic built-in led, It used the latest design and technology. Compared with the previous led, such as the SK6812, SK9822, and WS2813 led, it has a great advantage.

Would you care to explain the advantages?

Cost?
Data integrity?
Voltage tolerance?

Looking at the spec sheet, it has
  • Secondary Data In (similar to ws2813 backup data)
  • Built-in voltage regulator (9-15v)
  • Built-in 8bit->12bit gamma correction
  • Built-in display pattern for the applications without a controller
  • Built-in automatic test mode, power-on and power-off protection
All nice features I'd say, IF its cost-competitive with WS2813

xLights and Vixen3 for sequencing / FPP for scheduling and playing / Falcon controllers for pixels / DIY controllers for everything else
