SD Card Firmware Upgrade Not workin
« on: August 08, 2018, 02:49:23 PM »
I finally got my F16v3 I am trying to update to the firmware to 2.01.  My problem is that when I turn off then on the Falcon. The SD card is not recognized and it just boots into the 2.0.  Has anyone else had this problem? Does the SD card need to be formatted in a specific format?  Im at a loss for this one.

Thanks in advance

SD card need s to be fat32. That is the method used to program when we send them out so it was tested. You need to use 32GB or less as 64GB gets formatted to xFat.

What is the maximum number of pixels allow per port for falcon F16v3 board ?
I am trying to configure half of my house models from 1 continuing port.

The specs are here:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1LTQzdvSYMrRGI62KTGdh5EmUhVB9uZZMQ4iwWtK7yYk/edit#gid=0

From the specification sheet, it can do 1024 per output group. (This is shared between ports if you have expansion boards, or all on a single output if you don't.)

One thing to remember is that even though the controller has a great capacity for numbers of pixels on each port group, the big question is can your pixels respond in time?  For me, it is how many pixels can get the signal before the next signal comes along at the rate that I have chosen?
Sequencers: Vixen3 and xLights
Players: FPP and xSchedule Controllers:  Renards - SS24/SS16; E1.31 - San Devices E682 - Falcon F16, F4, F48 - J1Sys - DIYLEDExpress E1.31 Bridges.  Much more!
