F4V3 Mega Tree?

Hey everyone, first post. I put an F4V3 with a 12v power supple in an enclosure, can I do a mega tree (16 strands) and star with this controller or am I limited to 8 strands? I'm still trying to wrap my head around universes and channels and who's on first. Thanks so much!

How many pixels per strand?? I'll assume 50,,, if so, you could run 4- 16 strand trees with stars with that controller,,,,with power injection of course!!
As far as running 1-16 strand (x 50 pixels per strand) and a star with the one power supply, it can be done as long as you turn down the brightness of the pixels to probably 60% or less.
I ran a small show for a few hours a day for a week or so for the 4th of July,, 1340 pixels with one 12v power supply with brightness set at 30% with no issues at all. 30% was plenty bright enough!!

Thanks for the reply MW18. I was planning strands of 50. So out of curiosity, the controller only has 4 ports, how in the world do you do that with 16 strands? Programming in Xlights?

Each port gets 4 strands (zigzag) of 50 (200 pixels per string port).   Do that on each of the 4 ports and you get 16 strands of 50 pixels (800 pixels total for the tree)
xLights and Vixen3 for sequencing / FPP for scheduling and playing / Falcon controllers for pixels / DIY controllers for everything else
