Single strand of 50 pixels
« on: October 08, 2018, 08:07:51 PM »
Hello! I have a really dumb question. I have two strands of 50 node pixels plugged in together and then plugged in to a F4V3 and I can't for the life of me get channel 1 to light all 100 pixels one after another. It will do 50, and then do the other 50 on the second channel. I feel like I have everything set up, what am I missing?

I assume you are using the 'test' function.  The Falcon controllers default to 50 pixels per output in test mode.  You can change it to a higher number, just don't go too high or you will start blowing output fuses........ 8)

This was actually just trying to make a single line in xlights of 100 pixels. So instead of doing 100 in a strand, it appears its splitting the setting of 100 and doing 50 in channel 1 and the other 50 in channel 2. Im probably not explaining that correctly. Ive tried change the setting in xlights say 50 2 strand to 100 and 1 strand with no luck.

You need to change the string port setting in the Falcon controller.  It defaults to 50 pixels per string port.
xLights and Vixen3 for sequencing / FPP for scheduling and playing / Falcon controllers for pixels / homemade controllers for everything else

Thank you pixelpuppy! That was it and I saw how I would zig zag for a pixel tree.
