Yes,  you will need 4 remaps and a set of channels in a range that you are not currently using.

For this example, we'll assume you aren't using channels 102921+.

Setup the following four channel remaps:

- 264 channels starting at channel 2921 to destination 102921
- 60 channels starting at channel 103125 to destination 2921
- 87 channels starting at channel 103038 to destination 2981
- 117 channels starting at channel 102921 to destination 3068

Save, restart fppd, and your star channels should be remapped.

No props after port 6, so should I blank those out?
When nothing is plugged into a port David Pitts told me to set those as the first universe that the controller receives and channel 1 and 1 node.  So in your case it's all 1s

This is what fixed it. Thank you all.

Not sure what fixed it, however, I had to make some adjustments in my XL set up, so I factory reset, uploaded config, keep it running non-stop, no issues yet.

I'm using a USB to RS485 Dongle from Renard.

Tbone, I have no idea what you mean by "Have you checked your controllers for proper line termination? ".....  Can you please explain?

RS485 (DMX) communication is at a specific frequency. Some equipment can be sensitive to noise on the line caused by the last device on the chain of cables. To reduce that noise, you can add a "termination resistor" on the last device only. Usually it is a 220ohm resistor. It prevents the reflection of the DMX signal back towards the Dongle by absorbing the signal.

That being said, I don't think termination or reflection is your problem.

Well no good news.

The issue appears to be network related.
Pi3 dropping the network.

I am able to perform functions through the main interface when I login.

Any Commands I can try?

Have you checked your controllers for proper line termination?  This may be an issue with signal reflection.

Freezing is something else.
Ensure that you do not have any characters in the filename other than a-z, or 0-9.   Example of what NOT to use "01 - 01 Christmas's is great.mp3"   You should if necessary use _ or no other characters whatsoever.   so it would turn into "0101Christmasisgreat.mp3"   This has resolved 90% of others issues with skipping, etc.

Start there, and see if it helps.

What kind/ brand/model DMX dongle are you using?

An Open DMX dongle will usually stop sending any signal when input is lost, but a Pro DMX dongle may continue to output a valid DMX data stream even when input is disrupted.
