Yeah, first post!!!

Question, I saw on the forum where the price-point was projected to be $200-$210.  As we're getting close to the highly anticipated presale release date, can you confirm those numbers?

<---- NOOB wanting to start out with a board the can run my whole first year show (from FPP), then still be G2G as part of my system going forward without being dated.  It seems right now that you guys have the best thing going here!

I'm doing the same thing myself. I've planned my whole network with this card in mind. I just hope the presale is soon.

;) David has come up with an updated version about annually so while you will be G2G, you will still probably be wanting whatever the newest board David produces next year :-)  (spoken from experience - yes my F16v2 blue beta board without OLED WILL run my show but every new board version David creates - I just have to buy because of the new bells and whistles)

Mark, it is just another FOMO issue like last year.  LOL  I think it is part of the addiction syndrome.

I'm looking into a 1000 pixel order (to save on price per & shipping). At some point, do you stop buying new pixels as much to keep up with the new hardware?

I'm in the same boat, looks like I can do what I need with one board, expansion and differential. I think an F4v2 for the tree by itself will get me through my first year. The F16v3 will allow me the additional elements next year and after that I'll need a 12 step program.

I'm sure this has ben asked and answered but I can't find it so here goes. I know that the new V3 can have 2 expansion boards with one being a change in design to accept 2 connectors. Does that also mean that it will be able to handle two differential expansion boards and if so will there be an new version of this as well?

Yes. The differential expansion board will also have two connectors.

I started with Lynx equipment and want to play with Falcon now.
Is there a special process to get in on the pre order?
I'm used to the coop style on DIYLA and wasn't sure how things work over here.

Nothing too special...... you write a letter to your congressman asking for permission to get involved with the Falcon Organization (cause it's TOP SECRET), and they will send you the proper paperwork.  Send that paperwork to the EPA, to get their permission, and a writ of habeas corpus.  Then..........

Sorry, couldn't resist.  Just stay tuned and David will open up the buy when he is ready........

I was looking at the E682 but after digging in I have my mind set on the falcon. As soon as the orders open I want the v3 so I can start building.

Kinda low-res to be salivating over. (J/K)

I love the vertical cat5 ports!  What's the 6th switch behind the LCD screen for?

Good catch.  Now that you mention it, I don't see a power LED or any LED's for that matter on the board.

Will the fv3 be available in ready to run?  I.e. Not just board but enclosed, power and wiring?  Think I am going to need couple of them and since I am a a first year person ..........

All the others came just the board, you provide power, wiring, and pigtails.  And need to pay attention to jumper settings for how you are going to power it.

It would be nice for those who want to power their strings from outside the F16 if it had its own power supply. Not sure how many this would apply to though.
