Hotspot for Display
« on: November 28, 2018, 07:17:36 PM »
I have a display that is in a public park and there are a lot of times that I have little issues (usually just requires a reboot or settings adjustment) that come about during the season or want to adjust/add a new song. All of these issues are fixed on my laptop that I take with me to the park. The downside is I can only fix these issues while I'm at the park- I can't do it from the convienience of my home or if I'm out of town. So I was thinking, would it be possible to have a mobile hotspot connected via wifi to a laptop which would then connect via Etho to the show network? This would allow me to remote access the laptop to take care of any issues or adjust/add sequences without me physically being there.

My goal is to be able to access the display- even just to make sure it's working as expected or to shut it down during harsh weather- without actually having to drive myself and my son to the display. Has anyone done this before? If so how does it work?
