F4 differential receiver
« on: December 24, 2018, 08:48:40 AM »
Working on wiring my first F4 receiver.  Seems self explanatory but I wanted to get some additional eyes before I release its smoke.

Looks good so far.

thanks. one thing I see on controllers bought pre-built (cannot see on the F16V3) is a plastic washer used between the screw head and the board on the screws that mount the boards to the box. is this needed? would rather know now :)

thanks in advance.

I use plastic screws, washers and nuts on mine.just to be safe. They are inexpensive on Amazon

I don't use the washers, but I do use plastic standoffs, screws and nuts.

How large a power supply is needed to run a single 4-string diff receiver board?  Can it be powered thru a single output from the F8 distro?

You need as large a power supply that would be needed to power all the pixels plugged into that board.  If you only have a few pixels that pull less than 5 amps then yes that power distro board will work, but I doubt that will be the case.

The amount of power needed by the Diff Receiver board itself is negligible. Don't worry about it.
