F16V3 Updates?
« on: January 13, 2019, 04:14:14 PM »
I'm looking at purchasing an F16V3 with expansion board and an F48 for next year but it's pretty early in the season so my question is genuine, not trying to start rumors. Falcon controllers are awesome and always getting better, any updates coming soon that I'll regret buying this early in the season or is that a loaded question?  :)

I don't know how anyone could regret buying the F16v3 at any time.  I have an F16v1 (pixelnet only) and F16v2 blue, F16v2 red, and F16v3.  Some of them in multiples.  They all work and do exactly what they should.   But to answer another part of your question, I think most of us expect firmware upgrades to be the biggest thing this year to activate features of the board that have not generally been available in the last year.

The firmware upgrades are now listed on the Github site that Dave Pitts uses.

The latest F16v3 remains as b_022

but now there are files (for b_022) for the F4v3 and the F48

I ran my F16v3 with the b_021 firmware for the entire Christmas season with zero problems.
