I recently purchased a "10W RGB LED flood light;DC12V input;with 4 wire PWM driver inside" from Ray Wu (to test it out).  Not sure if this is designed to work with a F16v3 board or not.  If it will, and idea how to wire it up?  link of product below

My guess is NO.  This looks to be a dumb RGB flood.

One line in the specs:  Control  pwm controller;dmx decoder.etc

Needs to be driven by a DC controller (like the D-Light DC-16)  Need one? I've got several. (all converted to DMX)

Alternately my 2811DC15 and 2811DC30 boards were designed specifically for adding dumb elements into pixel networks.

Floods and a few other props aren't really PNP.  Not hard to do but a little different.  If you are handy and like DIY alot of guys like the "RobG" floods.  Some other good info can be gleaned here.  https://falconchristmas.com/forum/index.php/topic,4182.0.html

Kewl.  Looks like he did some 2811 spots too.

Thank you everyone for the feedback.  Guess I will scrap this flood, and order some of Ray Wu's floods.

Has anyone here used Ray's floods?
I looking to replace my incandescent 85w floods with some LED floods
Would a 10w LED be similar to a incandescent 85w in lumens?
Should spend the extra money to buy the 30w vs the 10w ones?

I use four Ray Wu 10w floods. They are DMX, though, but otherwise the same. I would have gotten the WS2811 version if he'd had them.

I prefer to use 10w floods because I think I have more control. I use 2 or 3 (for example - my Nativity set) instead of just 1 and get less "over shoot" of light out in the yard.

Jon,

Do you think they are similar to incandescent 85w in lumens?

If you look at the picture on the box, it says 900 Lumens for this 10watt unit on Rays store.
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/9W-high-power-led-WS2811-controlled-RGB-flood-light-addressable-IP66/701799_32827247145.html?spm=2114.12010615.8148356.1.e53869bdRNATBS
Incandescent Lumen approximations: 60W=800 Lumens, 75W=1100 Lumens, 85W=1275 Lumens 100W=1600 Lumens. It is kind of hard to say. I did find this page on Rays store: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/20W-high-power-RGB-LED-flood-light-light-with-44key-IR-remote-AC85-265V-input/701799_32350632093.html?spm=2114.12010615.8148356.13.64e548b2IHpKTq
And it lists lumens per color, and the different colors are not consistant. So how do they rate them? A good question I do not know the answer to, I would be curious to learn more, since floods may be a part of my show in the future.

Sometime you gotta just jump in and try stuff to find out for yourself.  Cool part about the flood you have being dumb is that if you apply 12VDC it will light up so you can get an idea of how bright it is.  Not sure wire scheme but the 4 wires are 1 for power and 3 for ground (each being rgb) all grounds together produce white (brightest).

Thank you, that helps quite a bit.

OK, I will give it a try

No, I don't think a 10w RGB flood will give you the same as your incandescent, but two probably will and three for sure. In whatever color you want.

in the attached picture, I've got a pair of RayWu DMX 10w RGB floods on my nativity. They are doing White @ 80% intensity. They are right on the ground, mounted to a 1x4" piece of wood. Using the pair, I can light the semi-circular Nativity more evenly that I could with a single placed farther back.
