FPP on Rasberry Pi
« on: January 11, 2019, 08:03:27 PM »
i'm new to xLights and FPP and have a question... i use LOR and am working on a simple ladscape light set up for the off season.  i want to know if i use a rasberry pi, will it run independent of the computer?  I would like to make my animation, convert it to xLights and load it into FPP for the pi, and connect the LOR dongle to it to go out to the pixel controller.  Will this work or do i still need to have the pi conncted to the computer?

Sure. (but maybe)  Which version of LOR are you using. I seem to remember that the newest version's output file is not handled well by xLights.

I'm 3 years out of date with LOR so not much help with that. BUT, if you can successfully import into xLights and save to an FSEQ file, then that can run independently (looping and looping and looping) on a Pi with an LOR dongle.
