FM Xmitter
« on: January 14, 2019, 08:14:02 AM »
I have a question for those of you who have an FM Xmitter similar to this one:
Signstek 0.5 W 05B Dual Mode Long Range Stereo Broadcast Home FM Transmitter with Antenna and Free Audio Cable Fashion Black
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CM2VPMQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_iyvKAbMWBW7JQ
How are you mounting this? Is it in your F16 enclosure? Is it mounted to the side? Is it mounted somewhere else?

Thanks
Steve
My name is Steve and I'm just getting started. but I think this will become a huge hobby!!

I have one.  It is mounted on the wall inside a closet that is on the outside front wall of my house.  I get good signal in my yard, across the street, kitty corner from my corner lot, the basement, the backyard, etc.

I have mine sitting on a shelf in my basement next to my Raspberry pi. Reaches the street just fine.

So my Pi is in my enclosure. I could run an audio cable and mount it near my control box but not sure if anyone has mounted one of these internally to their box.

+1 on mounting in the basement next to the pi, reaches 120 ft to the road just fine. You may get interference from the controller or pixel data in your enclosure. Only testing will confirm.

Is that the Bud  32026 enclosure?  Do you keep it indoors?
