The PiFace 2 looks pretty cool for controlling devices. Does anyone know if FPP recognizes it or is some extra coding required?

FPP can use the PiFace digital for input and output.

...triggered by step pad that is hidden under leaves and ground cover.
Do you have a source for a reasonably sized and reasonably priced step pad?  Spirit Halloween has one, but it is tiny - which makes it hard to insure the pad will get stepped on, and it is quite expensive.

With many step pads, when you put a pad on them, like a larger piece of cardboard, which increases the surface area.
