Pixel mounting stage 1
« on: February 19, 2019, 04:01:25 PM »

For those of you interested. I used 5/8 vinyl J-channel. The drill bit of choice is a titanium 12mm step bit on a drill press. Yellow dowel is at 2 spacing from the bit. Pixels snapped into place easily and securely.

My name is Steve and I'm just getting started. but I think this will become a huge hobby!!

Thanks for posting these pictures, I'm getting ready to do the same thing here.  I want to replace all the pixels on my house trim with permanent installed pixels on J-channel installed behind the facer board.   I plan to put differential receivers at the four corners of the house using some of the four outputs for the permanent pixels and leaving some ports open for seasonal temporary additions.

Can you post a couple closeups of one of the pixels installed in the j-channel?  Maybe one pic from the top and one from the bottom.
