PowerPoint on a RasPi
« on: April 10, 2019, 01:57:52 PM »
I'll be giving some powerpoints at a Mini.
Thought it might be cool to run my slides from a Pi and HDMI.
Anyone done that?
Does the normal Debian image have something?

You can do this running LibreOffice "Impress".  You'd have to install X as well, so might be better off starting with a normal Raspbian install and not FPP.  There are quite a few sites with details on running LibreOffice on the Pi, but I'm not sure how well the Pi is at handling the workload.

Thanks, Chris. I'll let you know. It is a pretty simple set of Powerpoints. Mostly text with some graphics. No video or even animations.
