Linux in Windows 10 (promises, promises)

(1/1)

Wondering if the current promise of Linux inside of Windows 10 would be sufficient to run the Linux version xLights? (or any other FPP / Falcon related software)

Interesting..   From what I have read, this is basically the Linux kernel running inside a lightweight Hyper-V VM, so you could run more Linux programs than the current WSL method allows.

I ordered an Atomic Pi with one intent to play around with a x86-64 image for FPP at some point, so running FPP in a VM on a Windows machine would work as well.  I know that Pat has done it before using the FPP_Install.sh script to install FPP in an Ubuntu VM.
