xConnect Specs
« on: July 01, 2019, 08:38:39 PM »
I have purchased a bunch of new pixels that came with xConnect connectors on them.
I'm finding this very confusing, and hope someone out there can confirm that what I received is the actual item, or the strings were made improperly.

First, the male end of the connector has threads.  Very interesting.  (Usually the male end has the smooth barrell and the nut on it.)
Second, the female end has the smooth barrel with the nut on it.

The male is on the correct end of the string of lights (DI), and the female is on the output (DO) end.  It is just the reversal of the roles as to who has the threads and who has the nut.

Can anyone else confirm that this "xConnect" is supposed to be this way?

from what I have seen, Ray does it different from the others as far as which end is threaded

Thanks.  That is what I've been told for the xConnect specs.  Strange, and of no use to me.

I've heard that Ray is doing that.  Thanks Ray.
