Center to Outward effect or chase
« on: July 15, 2019, 04:53:06 PM »
I am not sure I am in the correct place, but I am looking for a little help creating an effect for my sequence.
I have several display items, (all pixels), and one Mega Tree.  I am trying to setup a sequence that flows outward from the Mega Tree.  I have seen other do this, but I have no idea how to.  Can anyone help or at least give me a hint or two.  I know it is probably something simple, I just can not get my head wrapped around it.  all of the other display items, (just call them boxes for now), are place around the Mega Tree.

Thanks in advance for any help.

What sequencer are you using?

Sequencers: Vixen3 and xLights
Players: FPP and xSchedule Controllers:  Renards - SS24/SS16; E1.31 - San Devices E682 - Falcon F16, F4, F48 - J1Sys - DIYLEDExpress E1.31 Bridges.  Much more!

Since you are in the xLights section, I assume that you are using xLights?
I think what you want is like a small circle that keeps growing? Kinda like a smoke ring?
If so, you will need to create a group of all of your models and then apply a Shockwave effect to the group. You will have to change the x and y coordinates to center it on your tree and adjust the other settings to get what you desire.

Thanks guys.  I did more research into Groups, and I believe that is exactly what I need to do.  It seems so simple now.
Thank again for the support.

Grouping makes sequencing so much easier and you can do many more cool things.
