Reload older Firmware
« on: July 25, 2019, 08:40:54 AM »
I ordered and received the new receiver card! I then updated the F48 firmware so I can take advantage of the daisy chaining ability. It's nice but now the F48 loses network connect after 30 minutes or so. The F48 screen shows a valid ip and I can run it in test mode and get blinking lights. Even when I can bring up the F48 on the computer the Master Pi doesn't blink the lights in test mode. I had 2.04 on this system and it had been running since November last year!

I tried to change it back to 2.04 but it keeps skipping the sd card Do I need to load the bootloader each time? I didn't think so! Just want to go back to when it worked! Any ideas?

The new bootload looks for firmware files with a file type of *.fl2

It may not see the older *.fal  files.

Try going back to F16V3_Player_2_5_b022.fl2
It didn't support smart receivers but was super stable.

No, sorry. Didn't notice the "F48" header. Those are F16v3 files.

I just wanted to follow up on this thread in case anyone else was having this issue. I had installed 2.50 last week and was experiencing lockups after 30 minutes or so with a hard reset being the only fix.
Installing 2.51 fixed my problem and I am no longer seeing lockups. Everything is working as expected now.
The 2.51 firmware I installed is found at:
