home automation, landscape lights, and making it work together
« on: November 03, 2014, 09:04:49 PM »
I am sure I have asked before, but I am struggling to come up with a solution. I am hoping someone much smarter than me can at least head me in the right direction. My end goal is to have some landscape as well as inside accent lighting that will not be rendered useless if I sell the house. I am looking for a system/technology that can stand alone but would also allow me some control when running xlights/nutcracker. I am assuming that means it would need to run on DMX. Would one of Ray Wu's controllers work? Not sure how many channels I would want or need, but I was thinking smart pixels to give me options although dumb pixels would likely work just as well.

If I could get some home automation to play along too, it would be even better.

Any guidance appreciated,
Brian
