Suggestions for adding High Channel count elements
« on: December 28, 2014, 08:58:56 PM »
I have a couple of elements I would like to build this year and they would have about 64 channels each for 128 channels total using incan or regular leds.
What would some of yall suggest for controllers to controll such a high channel count? Each section of the elements would need 8 channels.
I would like something like the old freestyles but know that isn't available anymore.

Brian, if you are talking about 120vac lights, then the 16 channel AC controllers are the common choice. There are some higher count per board choices but getting harder to find. I have a 64 channel mega tree that uses 4 Lynx Express controllers. Flawless operation and very reliable. Their biggest problem is that you have to build them yourself. There is a commercial version of the Lynx Express, made by Minleon. The price is reasonable and fully assembled. http://www.minleonusa.com/shopping/index.php?dispatch=products.view&product_id=3
