My videos...
« on: December 28, 2014, 09:52:45 PM »
I posted the first of my videos... I particularly liked 3 sequences... so they are up first.

I don't how long the videos will be up before youtube declines my copyright fair use request...  so catch them now.

My show stretched across the street line of my 3 acres, so it was not easy to get good videos with trees in the way -- instead I've created one version with the big tree and the house, another version with the "Tree Cam", and a third with a new addition -- a glass block tree.  (I made this on Christmas eve...)

I've got to give credit to a couple people:

bpducman (Brad) shared his beautiful rendition of "Mary Did You Know" and in 15 minutes I had a my favorite sequence of the year.  Thanks, Brad!

Charles Belcher (on the Great Christmas Light Fight) used a stack of glass blocks in his display, I liked it so much I stole the idea to create an 8ft crystal-pixel tree -- and I mirrored the effects used on my pixel tree.

The biggest credit goes to the Falcon and Nutcracker teams -- fantastic solutions to a lot of complicated problems.

Awesome job Steve.... Do you have a "Behind the scenes" video of this years display?

We did a walk-through of local displays this past saturday (8 of them) and it went well.

No video... but its a good idea.  There is still time to do that.

I took a lot of stills of the setup and i plan use them in january to add some diy content to my newly-revised web site.

Very good animated lights to music display!  The glass block pixel tree looked fun, was thinking of those as Zwilluniaries myself for next year since I didn't find a source for large cottage cheese containers this year!

You make me jealous with the floods, just don't get that color saturation yet, have to work on that this coming couple of weeks before I take down the displays.

Sometimes I feel so dense... Where is this "glass block pixel tree"?

Wow Steve, just beautiful! Great sequencing! The ground lights and crystal tree are fantastic. And to pay you the greatest compliment, lots of great ideas for the next few years :) Would love a behind the scenes look.

Look at the videos with "Crystal" on the end of the title, in my youtube page:

I plan to document what I did in the next few weeks -- along my problems with ==W=I=N=D===   (hint, glass is not forgiving...) :)

Thanks.  The duplication on the site made it look like you uploaded the same files multiple times, therefore they were skipped.  Didn't see the "- Crystal..." until you pointed it out.
