There have been some flood boards too that emulate a ws2811 pixel that might want me to go that way with some additional hardware or perhaps just jump to the beagle bone black to drive floods and landscape lights.

I have a box of landscaping lights in the garage that I am going to retrofit with square ws2811 nodes.  I plan on putting a uSC at the beginning of each chain of lights and will drive them from the same FPP I use for my show.  I have some of rob's flood boards that I will retrofit with some bare ws2811 nodes so I can drive the floods using 24v fed from a 4-port passive hub.

I used some dumb square nodes and a simple 3 channel DMX controller to modify my landscaping lights.
Here is a short video of them in action.  http://vimeo.com/84924608
Using a 3channel DMX programmer, I went through different demo modes until I found one I like, then set it as the default.  The 3 channel DMX controller continually runs in demo mode.  No signal needed, just power which is connected to a timer.
