ATX Power Supply Converter Board (Closed)
« on: October 02, 2013, 01:36:16 AM »
I am buying 100 of these boards. I will be offering them to any one that wants one. They will be $5.00 a pcb + shipping. I have included the Mouser BOM to build them. If we get enough interest I will also include the parts to save on shipping. Please post if you are interested with qty.

Please note the P1 and P2 connectors have six wires each for a total of twelve wires and P3 have 4 wires. They give more power then using the three hard drives connectors. Most newer power supplies have these connectors. Also many newer power supplies place all three older hard drive connectors on the same wire (bad for our use). It is much better to use P1, P2 and P3 in this case.

I will pre-order the boards, and then depending on totals - make one parts order to get the best pricing.  When that time comes, I will request payment for pcb, parts and small flat rate shipping.

They are going thru a design change since I called David a bit ago.  The 2 4-pin connectors are not the same, so we are changing to 1 4-pin and 2-6pin - depending on space he might drop off 3 of the old hard drive/cdrom connectors - since most PS have them all on the same power cable it don't do much good - beside one of the 6-pin will take care of all 3 of the hd/cdrom connectors.  Also removing the 3 hd/cdrom connectors will save $$ as well.

Will have to see what he can get to fit
