I bought two of the ones from amazon and that put me over the $35 to qualify for free shipping.  Plus I get them in less than a week.

I daisy-chained another 50 pixels for a total of 100 on a string, and the problem moved to the end of the string.

Now this is significant as the pixels at the end of the string are actually the FIRST data packets in the stream, and as the fault followed the last few pixels it indicates data corruption of the first couple packets or a firmware issue generating the data stream.

quick test for data corruption from overdriven input....try adding some cable distance from the controller to pixel 1.... stick a few feet of cable inline.
