I believe the exchange about resolution was over the flex strips.
The FirePix strings from HolidayCoro have a resolution of 1.

hoping thats the case. we really like how those lights looked.

the 2811 strings should be individually controlled lights. only the flex strips were in groups of 3. The strings you are looking at each have a controller chip in them.

they will look nice!

I updated it

You could have

pi => FPD => Falcon-16
pi => Etherdongle => Falcon-16
pi => Etherdongle => Active Hub
pi => Etherdongle => Zeus

Too many to fit on picture
