aside from this song, I couldn't tell you much about Glee the show.  I do remember bookmarking a few songs from various Glee albums for potential use in sequencing.  always looking for a familiar carol with a different take.

gadgetsmith, in a nutshell, what did you do to get the transitioning segmented/dotted effect on your arches at around 2:54?

That is a garlands effect using the "right then left" stack direction in Xlights v4. Spacing=10 on my 59 pixel arches.  You can adjust to get the look you're going for.
