Sorry guys I have been out of state with a family emergency and had very spotty wifi.

I did ask for an update from the board manufacturer and was told that the parts have all arrived and they assembled one standard and one deluxe board and sent me the pictures of each for approval before they assemble the rest.

I have sent them a response with the approval to proceed and asked for a estimated assembly and shipping time via DHL.

Attached are the pictures and once I get a response with the estimated times I will post here.

Thanks,
Darrell Pellegrin

Good Morning everyone!

Weekly PiHat update is in. Production is in full swing and expected to wrap up by mid of next week.

Then the QC department will check the boards and if they are cleared they will ship by the end of the week.

I asked for DHL shipping so to get them in quickly. I will keep you posted here and on the CFOL page for anymore updates as I get them.

Thanks,
Darrell Pellegrin

I also have two strings of white pixel balls that are perfect for a Christmas Tree. Never wanted to dedicate a full Falcon controller for them. This will be perfect (since my two hats arrived today). :)

Yeah this board for the price is perfect for the smaller projects you don't want to dedicate a port off of a mega controller.

Is there a certain setting I should use in fpp for using the pi hat? (I.e. How to address output 1,2 on the hat) I assume you just use the pi ip to communicate. Any special instructions would be appreciated. Maybe update fpp to add this option in in the channel configuration page?( e1.31, open dmx, enetec dongle, pi hat)

PiHat utilizes the GPIO pins.  Do a search on here for GPIO or RPIWS281X and you'll find several posts on how to run lights off the GPIO pins.  The options are already there.

This is extremely old and needs to be updated. I think Andy might have a more up to date on but this was just testing soldered to the gpio pins.

Skip to 7:40 and you will see how to set it  up in FPP.
