Help with color
« on: November 24, 2013, 09:00:42 AM »
Hey all,
I have built my megatree and the colors do not match what it shows in Xlights.
I am sure i have the wrong string selected but i have tried a few and not found the correct one.
I am using a Falcon 16 and these lights.
http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/5m-led-digital-strip-DC12V-input-WS2811IC-256-scale-10pcs-IC-and-30pcs-5050-SMD-RGB/701799_568458133.html
I tried WS2811 flex and the red is red.
however the green is blue and the blue is green.
do you know which string i should program the F16 to?
Thanks.

You need to change the device type associated with the port (inside the falcon 16 config utility) until you find one that matches your needs.  Its not obvious which to try, so go through them one at a time until you find what your need.

I asked for an description of the various device types, but there isn't an answer yet:

If they are standard nodes try the Square nodes in the utility setting. I am not 100% sure on that, I can check tonight, but I think that will set them to RGB.

I agree.  Just try one at a time till you get it.  For our 60/m strips I had to use "Rectangle Nodes" to get the correct color order.

That did it.
It was square that worked.
Thanks
