All in good fun. :) I received the first prototype run today. (The ones without the switch)

Comparison in size of output connectors from the original design...

Also tested the led's on 12v and love them.....

Tested them on 5v and love them as well...

Popped a fuse and pulled a fuse and the light shuts off perfectly....

All in I'm very happy with this design but will wait until the switch comes in and I test it before I open up the group by.

I'd like to know if the device you are using to measure voltage is something you made or if purchased elsewhere.  Either way I'd love to get my hands on some of them.  :)

Sweet!!!  And in different colors! That is awesome!  Thank you.  Price is low enough that I won't even notice the extra cost.  ;)

You can find them on Aliexpress for under $1 each with free shipping. The main reason I scratched the idea of adding it directly to the board is because you can get them so dirt cheap. I cant even make those things as cheap as you can buy them for. I think I got 20 or so for around 20 bucks.

Is 10A max going to be enough for where you are going to place them?  I like the idea and will be looking to add a few volt meters to the inputs of the power distribution boards I got in the last coop but 10A will be way to low on the current side for the load that will be on those boards.

My plan is to put a 3 pin connector on both the input and output connectors and use them to check on individual strings just by placing the unit inline either during testing or during sequence playback.  I have no interest in looking at controllers totals as I seldom fully populate all the connections on a controller nor put long strings on most connections.  For me this is more for fun and learning.
