Waterproof pigtail test
« on: June 13, 2016, 04:36:24 PM »
I received my sample of the pigtail I am offering in the ssc4 coop over at DLA . I must say I was happy with the results. I included a picture of the pigtail submerged in my pool , but under normal usage its not going to get that wet . Lights still kept working.  I also included a picture of the breakdown of the parts. The biggest problem with using cat 5 pigtails was moisture getting into the connection this takes care of that issue. That is why people started to go to waterproof pigtails. I like using the cat 5 pigtails as I buy all premade cables and have them color coded for different lengths. I mark on my master plan what color goes to which display item and it really speeds up the setup for me. ( pic. Included ) If you would like some the coop is still going for a little while longer over at DLA as several members here are also a member there as well . Hope some of this helps

Joe
