Folded string addressing
« on: December 02, 2013, 07:33:27 AM »
Playing with ideas for upgrading my mega tree next year to pixels.  If I use a string of 100 pixels folded over, so 50 run up, then 50 back down, is there a means in the F16 to address the pixels such that the first half is numbered forward and the 2nd half is numbered backwards.  So on the first strand of 50, the first pixel at the bottom will be pixel #1, and on the 2nd strand the first pixel at the bottom will be #51.  I was playing with the f16 programming utility and didn't immediately see a way to do that.

If you use nutcracker, it will take care of the channel programming (sequencing) for you.  You can not change the hardware addressing with any product that I know of.

Lsp also can handle the zig zag layout.
