The 6 pins by the 2 amp fuse are as follows:
The first two unnumbered pins are jumpered if you want to power the Pi from this board.
The next 4 are numbered 1,2,3 and 4 and are used as follows:
5v = Pin 2&3 Jumpered.
7-24v Pins 1&2 and 3&4 Jumpered.

To make sure I do not let the magic smoke out again :o  .....leave the jumper closest to the 40 pin GPIO in place and place a second jumper on the middle of the 4 remaining pins to power the Pi from the cap with a 5v power supply?

Thanks. I was on the road. This post is accurate.

What's the jumper by R3?

And if I understand the power jumpers correctly

if I have the 2 un-numbered pins jumpered, and 1-2 jumpered and 3-4 jumpered, I can put in 7-24 volts on the cap and 5V will power the Pi?

Fantastic. I'm really looking forward to putting this board to work in our Tiki Bar.

Because I'm paranoid and want to make sure I have this correct, do I have the jumpers on correctly to power the pi from the hat and use 5V lights?

Yes - That setup is right for 5v to both.

It works with all the 40-pin versions, but newer quad-core versions will be able to drive more Pixels.
