Renad PX1 daisy chained
« on: November 29, 2016, 03:11:57 PM »
Hi all

This is my first time that I try to run my small show with a FPP.  My mega tree is running  with three Renards PX1 connected to my pc port using a RS485 converter  (not problems at all), but as soon as I try my FPP, they don't work, only the first renard works, the other two they don't do anything, can someone help me to setup them correctly.

Thanks.

Can you paste a screenshot of your FPP Channel Outputs config page if you are still having issues?

Yes, please post a picture of your Channel Outputs" and your "other" tab in the outputs section.  I run 71 pixels X 4 (daisy chained PX-1's)(852 channels) off of a USB/485 through my FPP.  I have to run 230K baud to run that many pixels at 50ms.  You may need to run the utility to make changes to your PX1's.
Total Number of Pixels Capable
for a given Baud Rate/Refresh Interval*
in a Renard Network per Comm Port
Baud Rate Refresh Interval
100 ms 50 ms 25 ms
230400* 764 382 191
115200 382 191 95
57600 191 95 47
38400 127 63 31
19200 63 31 15
Well, that table didn't come out clean.http://www.doityourselfchristmas.com/wiki/index.php?title=Renard_PX1_Pixel_Controller
