SOLVED How to configure multiple Pi Caps on one sequence
« on: December 03, 2016, 09:53:42 AM »
I am trying to use two picaps for one display.  One to drive my gutter lines and flakes, and the other to drive a pixel matrix with 858 pixels.  I have the pi for the gutters & flakes as the master and the one for the matrix as a remote.  The simple setup in xlights has bars on the house and text on the matrix but the matrix is covered with the bars also.
I am thinking it would be easier to set up the matrix on its own but once I get things set up properly I would like to have hte matrix as part of the overall sequence and I do not see how to do this.
Thanks

Running display on pi's with picaps.....no controllers
Some said it could not be done!  4245 pixels and growing!

Sounds like channel overlap to me.  Run the tools, sequence checker.

I am upgrading to the latest "production" version of xlights and I will check that.  Thanks for the reply.

No errors.  Only a warning for going .050 over the length, which I fixed. I will see if the new version of xlights helped

RESOLVED!  Second Pi setup would have the RPI281x output 1 set to the next channel after the last one used on the previous Pi.  Thanks to Gadgetsmith for the help
