That would be 32 pi x 8 pixelnet univ x 4096 would be 1,048,576 pixelnet channels or 349,525 pixels.  Don't think I can afford that many pixels. Whew!!!

Just imagine the sequencing required to run a system that big.

 I edited my numbers to correct an error.

when dave and crew get the master /slave pi player working it would work here. load fseq sequence file into 32 pi's, sync the 32 while playing. each pi would be responsible for sending out their 64 universes. if you further use a FPD for each pi there would be no E1.31 traffic. E1.31 could be used to keep the 32 synced together.

Certainly can't get that to channel count in xLights if you use Multicast. It will only get you to 130560 channels.

This would require you to have 32 networks, one for each 4 pixelnet universes. Could you imagine the amount of Cat 5 cable that would require to be spread around?

Given the rate which things like grids eat up channels this type of configuration is not too far in the future.
