Multi Universe Setup
« on: October 26, 2017, 05:22:02 PM »
I have my XLights setup with two types of props on 2 different sequential universes as described below.   What does my FPP setting need to be on the Picap output other tab to address these lights?  How does it account for the universe span?  Also,  How do you designate which universe goes out on DMX?

Picaps only use absolute addressing and contigous addressing.  ie. the second outputs channel number will immediately follow the end of the first output channel numbers.

So in my example, the start channel should be 28025?  It doesnt care what universes are in it?

Jim,

Does being contiguous mean problems for the DMX channels or are you saying that only the 2 pixel outputs have to be contiguous?

output 2's channels will immeadiately follow the end of output 1.  This is an FPP config issue as it only allows 1 start address.
